Representation helped, but it did not automatically create friendship. We still had to show up repeatedly and build community. In Seoul, the practical systems become easier after setup, but the first month can make capable adults feel helpless. Also listen to the person in the family who is least excited. They often see the problem everyone else is trying to ignore. I would still make the move, but I would prepare with more cash cushion, more patience, and fewer fantasies.
