I would separate the emotional part from the daily routine. The feeling matters, but the weekday pattern will decide whether the move works. The city rewards people who build a smaller map instead of trying to live across the entire metro. My advice is to rent or stay flexible at first if you do not fully understand the area yet. I would still make the move, but I would prepare with more cash cushion, more patience, and fewer fantasies.
