      We had the same fear, and the honest answer is that the first suburb matters less than the first routine. School, commute, groceries, playground, and one parent friend made the move feel survivable. Do not try to solve the whole city before arriving. Choose a landing area that reduces stress, then learn from real weekdays. The emotional part surprised me more than school paperwork. My child was not comparing suburbs or rankings. They wanted one friend, one familiar snack, and one place that felt normal after school. Adults overthink the map. Kids often need repetition.
