The boring details are the ones that decide whether the move works. the first few months are logistics, not lifestyle. Doctors, utilities, school records, transportation, weather, pets, and routines take more energy than expected. Tree maintenance and commute direction can become weekly annoyances if you choose poorly. Everything gets better once the family has a normal grocery store, doctor, school route, weekend habit, and a few familiar faces. Do not judge the whole move by the first month. The first month is mostly cardboard boxes and bad sleep.
