Posting from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We may be heading to Bee Cave, Texas, mostly because of moving closer to family. On paper it makes sense, but I don’t want to make a clean spreadsheet decision and then create a messy family life. Specific question: Moving to Austin with teenagers?. Budget matters, but I do not want to choose the cheapest option and make our routine miserable. We are trying to understand school fit, childcare, activities, and whether families actually settle in well. What did you only understand after living there for a few months?

Honestly, I would slow down and test the weekday version first. do not choose only from rankings. A school or family area can be excellent and still not fit your child, your schedule, or your spouse’s daily life. Ask about social fit, activities, parent culture, bullying, commute, and how kids actually meet friends around Georgetown, Texas. For teenagers, the move is not about the city. It is about leaving their people. Give them some control and one activity fast.
