Passports, visas, birth certificates, marriage certificate, school records, immunization records, employment letters, rental documents, medical summaries, and digital copies. The first month is easier when documents are not scattered across email and luggage. Also ask your employer for very specific relocation support. “We help you settle in” can mean almost nothing unless someone walks you through banking, school, housing, and local ID steps.
