Pozuelo house with yard or central Madrid apartment?

      We are moving from Houston and are torn between a house in Pozuelo and an apartment in central Madrid. The house gives space, yard, parking, and quieter nights. The city gives transit, restaurants, culture, and less driving. Our kids are 8 and 13. Which choice worked better for your family?

      Pozuelo worked for us because we had a dog, three kids, and a school nearby. I missed central Madrid at first, but weekday life became calmer. The mistake is thinking one option is more authentic. Your real Madrid is the one you can live every Tuesday, not the one you photograph on Saturday.

      We chose central Madrid because our kids were old enough for transit and independence. A yard would have been nice, but walking to everything changed our family routine.

      Do a fake weekday schedule for both. Morning commute, groceries, activities, dinner. That will answer more than opinions.
