Posting from San Jose, California. We may be heading to Lutz, Florida, mostly because of downsizing from a larger home. On paper it makes sense, but I don’t want to make a clean spreadsheet decision and then create a messy family life. Specific question: Flood zone and home insurance – how serious is it?. This move is exciting on paper, but I can already tell the first few months may be messy. We are trying to avoid choosing a house that looks great online but creates a bad routine. What did you only understand after living there for a few months?
