      We are applying to schools around Lisbon and trying to gather documents from our current U.S. school. Besides transcripts and passports, what did schools ask for? Did they need teacher recommendations, vaccine records, learning support documents, or translated documents?

      Our school asked for passports, prior school reports, vaccination records, teacher forms, learning support details, and application assessments. The surprise was how long it took our U.S. school to send everything properly. Start early and keep copies of every report card and vaccination record.

      If your child has an IEP, therapy history, ADHD diagnosis, dyslexia support, or speech services, gather records before moving. Do not wait until the new school asks.
