      We are considering a move to Chiang Mai, Thailand and trying to understand what daily life would actually feel like for our family. The specific concern is working parent has routine while spouse feels isolated. Online guides make it sound manageable, but I want to hear from people who have lived through the messy first year. We have kids, school routines, work pressure, and family expectations involved, so this is not just a lifestyle experiment. What should we prepare for before making the move?

      Please budget for the emotional cost too, not only rent and school.
