We are moving from LA to Sydney with two children, ages 6 and 10. I know Sydney has beaches, parks, and beautiful suburbs, but the housing near good schools looks expensive and much smaller than what we expected. Our kids are used to a house, a yard, weekend sports, and grandparents nearby. I am excited but also scared that we are trading one expensive city for another with fewer support systems. For families from the U.S., did Sydney feel like an upgrade or just a different kind of hard?
