Representation helped, but it did not automatically create friendship. We still had to show up repeatedly and build community. In Seoul, the practical systems become easier after setup, but the first month can make capable adults feel helpless. My advice is to rent or stay flexible at first if you do not fully understand the area yet. The best decision we made was choosing ordinary daily ease over the impressive-looking option.
