Representation helped, but it did not automatically create friendship. We still had to show up repeatedly and build community. Do not underestimate the emotional effect of paying more for less space. Also listen to the person in the family who is least excited. They often see the problem everyone else is trying to ignore. I would still make the move, but I would prepare with more cash cushion, more patience, and fewer fantasies.
